Maryam Gueye is a multi-passionate, multidisciplinary writer and designer. Her work primarily intersects poetry and fashion with a focus on the sensitive fragility of time. She utilizes this intersection to understand the paradox of the ephemeral and eternal nature of the human experience, from memory to desire. Echoes of romantic whimsy and nostalgia permeates the fabrications of her creations. She is a recent graduate of Creative Writing from The New School and was a part of the Writing and Democracy Honors program where she further developed her voice, writing and art-making. Her inspirations include contemporary artists and designers who are poetically rooted and who create visual poetry with their work.
